Research Internship for Nanotechnology Students

Since the beginning of the 2025/26 winter semester, students have had the option of completing a research internship at an institute of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, or the Departments of Chemistry or Physics as an alternative to a specialist internship in industry.
The Institute of Thermodynamics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will continue to offer this research internship in the future.

The research internship comprises 15 credit points and corresponds to 12 weeks of full-time work. The aim is to involve students in the typical everyday work of researchers. A 25-page internship report must be written about the activities carried out and submitted to the supervisor (professor or research assistant).
