EXIST funding at IfT (Hybrid Indoor Vertical Farming)

Since May 1st, 2023, the IfT has been strengthened with a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection through an EXIST start-up grant in the field of vertical farming.

The team, consisting of two former research assistants, Konrad Böcker and Malte Freiknecht, as well as Benjamin Uwe Büttner, focuses on vertical greenhouse cultivation. With the help of their innovative approach, they are trying to make energy-intensive vertical farming cost-efficient.
